MPC X Tutorial – Arranging Audio Tracks Using Multiple Sequences

2

Probably my favorite feature of the MPC X is the way you can record audio tracks on it.  I love working with audio so once I tried it on the X I was hooked.

However, sequencing or arranging them is a little different than the traditional workflow with MIDI tracks in the MPC since you can’t just mute or delete them as you would a MIDI track.

Even still, the workflow is still pretty quick once you understand how they work.

  1. Good work here. Because of this video I poked around and found out you can select the track->edit(pencil)->clear track, and this will remove the audio AND the selected track for the current sequence only. So if you don’t want to see the flute track listed in the third sequence of your song, clear it. 🙂
