Zero-G Perception Cinemascapes review

10

Yo what’s good fam, back with another product from timespace.com

This one is another cinematic/sound design library from Zero-G

It’s called Perception Cinemascapes…let’s check it out!

What is Perception?

This is a collection of impacts, drones, ambience, fx, and other sounds designed for film, music, games, and more.

If you create soundtracks, or want to, this is the type of stuff you want to get your hands on.

Not only do you get full cue elements, broken down into separate parts, but you get a whole bunch of other stuff.

Abstract drum loops, drums, hits, reverses, whooshes…all that.

Quick Specs

  • content: 600 wave, acid, and aiff files each. 650 kontakt, nnxt, and exs instruments each.
  • format: kontakt, nnxt, exs, wave, acid, aiff
  • price: $108.29

How does it sound though?

It sounds pretty good.

I would explain it as a mixture of tech/electrical elements, acoustic sounds, ambience, and a little bit of industrial.

Not only do you get long, smooth, evolving soundscapes….

You also get the brash, rugged, in your face impacts and elements that add that extra level of excitment.

The library can go from smooth to down right crazy in a matter of seconds.

What’s the bottom line?

I dig the cinematic libraries coming out of zero-g, I think they represent a good price to quality ratio

No longer is it required to pay thousands of dollars to get high quality, useful, and inspiration content for soundtrack and media work.

I give this library 4 out of 5 subs, it’s very deep, creative, and well recorded.

I do wish they would be more into their interfaces, allowing you do do more tweaking in the kontakt instruments right from the front.

However I understand they are mainly wave/aiff files first, with the kontakt and other sampler formats added on for better audition or insertion into your work.

Still, at this price, it’s really hard to argue anything at all.

  1. Man, I’ve been watching your videos all day and I’ve gotta say, you really do break everything down real nice and then give a long demo of what you’re reviewing. I am definiately going to be recommending you and this site on my blog.

As for this Perception library…I am just starting to lead away from making beats and I’m looking to get into video game scoring. The catch is I have a real low budget, but I wanted a library that had high quality sounds AND wasn’t all over torrent sites, so the library sounds would be fairly unique over the downloaders. This library ticks both of those boxes and I’m definitely looking to make a purchase. Thank you for taking the time to point me (and other producers) in the right direction!
