Big Fish Audio Guitar Soundscapes review

Sup fam!

It’s Friday…so you know what time it is

Big Fish Friday baby!

Today I’m checking out a new guitar library called Guitar Soundscapes

let’s dig in

So what is Guitar Soundscapes?

Well, first off, unlike many of the other guitar libraries out there,

this one is made more with a more cinematic/ambient bias.

Think sound design, games, tv, trailers, movies, etc.

Not straight up clean guitar chords or loud guitar riffs….

This collection is all about the mood, the scene, the ambiance.

Quick Specs

  • content: 3.3GB
  • format: apple, wave, rex, acid, rmx
  • price: $129.95

How does it sound?

I really dig the tone and feel of this library

It’s a great contrast to the really pristine/clean guitar libraries for pop, house, and urban music….

It also doesn’t follow the same hardcore sound found in many rock guitar libraries

Though it has elements that will fit in any category, the overall feel of the library is really “scenic” if that makes sense.

Each guitar loop/collection really has a lot of elements and textures that allows you to go far left of the normal guitar loop.

There’s a certain “air” and “feel” to this library, it definitely has that cinematic feel. Β Not only does it cover the smooth ambient side, but also the strange and twisted side.

There is a diverse collection of loops and chords, so you are not stuck with one particular style or sound.

Everything is recorded very well so you don’t have to worry about any weird artifacts in the loops

What’s the bottom line?

I like to see libraries go their own route. Sure, I love a pure guitar library as much as the next person, but it’s very fun when you can dig into something that is not only well recorded but unique in it’s sound.

I love that you can find something here that will fit in a heartfelt documentary on curing world hunger then go right into another folder and pull out some riffs for your next horror flick.

I give Guitar Soundscapes 4.5 out of 5 subs, it’s a really inspiring library that shows just how versatile the guitar can be.

Again, what I really dig is how different this is compared to the other guitar libraries out there. Β Sure I love some of the other ones, and there are times when you just want a straight forward guitar library that sounds really good.

But when you want to explore other dimensions in your music, or just add a whole different atmosphere to your tracks, this one is great to have in the stash.

If you love ambient/chillout sounds…this one is worth a serious look

Hey Joe it FFF (funky fish friday)!

Phew! When I was listening to the sounds I was wondering how the hell I would use the samples to creative something. I do enjoy watching how you work with the samples to creative something.
