So what is Cyborg?
Cyborg is a “hybrid” cinematic style library, meaning you get organic instruments and sound sources mixed with synthesized fx and sound design.
It is a Kontakt Player library with a super simple interface, but don’t let that fool you, there’s plenty of power in the interface.
The custom interface covers all of the basic controls you’d need, envelope, fx, delay, reverb, eq, and filter.
As for the content, there’s a bunch of patches in 5 categories, as well as a huge collection of multis, plenty to keep you busy for a while.
Quick Specs
- content: 7.83GB, 147 patches, 144 multis
- format: Kontakt Player 5
- price: $199.95

So how does it sound?
The first section I went to was the atmosphere & drones of course, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. The sounds were quick loading but had plenty of movement.
The sounds evolved and changed over time, plus, with a quick tweak of the interface I could quickly adjust it taste.
I also found some useful drum kits, and even the melodic guitar loops held some gems. The cinematic fx were good as well, but my favorites were definitely the atmospheres, some of the drum kits, oh…and the multis!
There are some really cool multis in here and again I have to stress, these patches load very quick, for someone like me, that’s important…because I’m impatient 🙂
So what’s the bottom line?
If you’re looking for something a little different from the norm, or just a bit of a mixture between organic and synthesized sound design then you’ll definitely want to check this out.
I give Cyborg 4 out of 5 subs, it has plenty of great sounds with a super simple yet fully functional interface, and the sounds do not take forever to load…so you can get to work quickly.
I’ll definitely stress that these patches are more ambient, or shall I say, they have a slower evolving attack to them. Of course you could adjust to taste but the idea isn’t to provide a bunch of melodic instruments.
Even the bass patches had more of a slow attack to them.
Also, there are a lot of loops from synth/key arps to guitar and drum loops. Overall it’s really a nice package for cinematic, media, and game scoring or anyone into these types of sounds….like I do!

How do I get the copy from Big Fish?
They will email it to you, I sent them the email address you used on here.
What up Saint Joe. I never did receive the Cyborg plug-in from Big Fish. Should I contact them to?
They said the links were sent, it was a few days after this post. I gave them the email you use on here. Make sure there is nothing in your spam folder or that the email you used here is the correct one.
Yes the email is correct. I also checked my spam folder and trash but its not there either.
Just to double check, hit me through the contact form and send me your email, I don’t want to post it here for the spammers lol.
7 total piano effect patches.
Not the answer but thanks for watching as always!
“That’s the way of the world” I hope it goes on sale soon. If I didn’t have to buy tires for the family car, I’d grab it up right now.
Love the possibilities of sounds! Thanks for enlightening the masses S.J.
Ahaha, I hear ya man!
