So what is The FlyBy?
As you know, producers, djs, beatmakers, videographers, and anyone else that carries a lot of gear with them are always looking for a good pack, bag, or case to put their stuff in.
MONO specializes in cases, packs, and accessories for the musician on the go, and The FlyBy is one such pack.
The great thing about this pack is that is it modular, in the sense that it is actually two bags in one. You have the traditional back pack style setup, but you can also detach the back part of it where the laptop goes, giving you the option to only have the laptop section with you. This is super dope for anyone that travels by plane or other means where you may want the smaller laptop section with you while the main part of the bag is overhead or otherwise tucked away.

So what’s the bottom line?
If you travel a lot, especially with various types of gear, this is definitely a bag you should check out.
I give The FlyBy 4.5 out of 5 subs, it’s built well, has plenty of organizational features, two bags in one, and it looks dope!
Not to mention the fact that it has a lifetime warranty too!
I also dig the way it stands on it’s base, and the base is reinforced so it will not wear out the sway a normal bag would. There are so many ways to use this thing, and so many different types of gear you can put in it, for me this is super useful as I travel with a back pack quite often. I usually have a laptop, some camera gear, mics, iPad, etc, and this bag handles it with ease.
I can’t find anything wrong with it honestly. I did have to get used to the zipper that removes the laptop case as it felt stuck when first opening it. Turns out that was just the inner zipper of the laptop case hitting the outter zipper of the bag itself, all I had to do was lift up on the outter zipper a little to get it off.
Size wise I think it is great, and feels super comfortable to carry. I could do with a slightly larger main compartment, just to give a little more flexibility to what I could put in there, but I prefer this layout over the wider messenger bag style packs personally so that’s fine with me. If I ever need to carry my larger controllers I have options for that…and so do MONO!
Definitely check this thing out if you’re into dope bags and are looking for something of high quality to carry your gear: http://monocreators.com/the-flyby/
