Yo what’s good fam!
Back with another vintage analog product from UVI called UVX-3P
You know they do great analog based instruments, so let’s jump into it!
So what is UVX-3p?
This is a library based on the Roland JX-3P analog synthesizer.
As usual with UVI, there is a custom interface that allows you to tweak and customize the sounds quickly.
Everything from fx, to filters, to lfo and step sequenced modulation, all quickly accessible.
Plus there are plenty of presets in various categories to pull up and play instantly.
As usual, it work in the free UVI Workstation or in MachFive 3
- content: 5.92GB, 162 presets
- format: UVI, MachFive 3
- price: $99

How does it sound?
I’m a UVI fan, they’ve always had a “warm” sound when it comes to their instruments.
It’s definitely no surprise that their vintage/analog instruments really seem to capture the grit, warmth, and overall character of the synthesizers that are built from.
There’s deep bass, thick pads, sharp leads, and crazy fx, all ready to be tweaked.
They even included the raw factory presets as well as a some raw waveforms for you to tweak and manipulate directly in the custom interface.
Another thing I enjoy about UVI products is their FX, not just the ones they build into the instrument, but all the other FX that are available within the UVI Workstation.
It’s really easy to tweak the sounds in the exact way that you like, and keep it sounding good along the way.
So what’s the bottom line?
If you like vintage analog synths but don’t have the room or the budget to purchase the real thing, UVI has a great collection of vintage instruments ready to go.
The UVX-3P is a great instrument that captures the analog character of the classic synth yet brings it within reach of anyone who wants to use it.
I give this UVX-3P instrument 4 out of 5 subs, it’s a great sounding library with a very usable interface that’s also great to look at.
The presets sound great on their own, and once you start messing with the modulation and fx you can really pull out some awesome sounds.
