Big Fish Friday: Ambient Guitars

What is Ambient Guitars?

ambient_guitarsIt is exactly what it sounds like, a new collection of cinematic ambient and scoring guitar samples.

It comes in the KLI interface for quick audition, playback, and tweaking, including automatic tempo sync.

There are no drums, no bass, synths, or anything else…this library is strictly filled with ambient guitar performances, loops, and riffs.

You get the full kits, patches with specific instrument styles, and of course the slices loop patches.

Quick Specs

How does it sound?

Reel to Reel Tape RecorderThis library has a really good sound, both quality wise and performance wise.

I love a good ambient library, when it’s made from acoustic (non-synth) instrument, I dig it even more.

I also love a good guitar, so this is a perfect combination of instrument and style.

There are plenty of options in terms of working with your samples, from playing the full kit, to changing keys, adding fx, and playing with individual slices.

There is also plenty of content to work with, the samples are long as well so if you prefer to chop you’ve got plenty of room to work.

You can even assign the sample start time to your modwheel for tweaking the sample playback on the fly.

I definitely dig the sound of this library.

So what’s the bottom line?

As if you couldn’t tell, I dig the library. Of course, I never show you anything I don’t like so that’s pretty much a given right?

What I dig about Ambient Guitars is the very concept and execution of the library, I think the sounds are super inspiring for the type of music and sounds I tend to work with.

4subsOverall I give Ambient Guitars 4 out of 5 subs, it’s a great library with plenty of content, a variety of playing styles, and an overall inspirational character to keep the ideas flowing.ย

Plus I really love how quickly KLI allows you to manipulate and play your samples as an instrument.
