I know I’m late to the party, but I finally got my hands on a MiniBrute2, thanks to Arturia for letting me check one out.
I wanted to share my thoughts on it, and also discuss if it can sound smooth or not. My experience with previous synths in the Brute line was that they all had a bit of an aggressive tone.
I will say I noticed I could get a more mellow vibe out of the MiniBrute 2, even though you can still get that aggressive vibe if you wish.
Overall, I’m really digging this synth, I can get some nice deep bass, but can also get super experimental with all of the modulation and patch capabilities.
Even before I had a chance to really dig into it, this was a synth I would recommend to people looking to get into analog synths, the layout just makes sense and encourages exploration.
