A common way of working with pad-based samplers is multi level tuning, or what some may call “keyboard mode”.
This basically allows you to take a single pad and play it across the entire keyboard as a pitched instrument.
While you can quickly use the “convert to MIDI track” option on Push 2, I wanted to share a quick way to do this directly inside of the Ableton Live software.
I get this question often from people coming to Live from the MPC, Maschine, and other samplers.
