This one is called “Soulful Stems”

So what is Soulful Stems?
It’s a brand new collection of original, soulful, organic musical compositions which are royalty-free and ready to be used in your productions.
In addition to the full compositions, it also comes with the individual stems of each instrument in the samples so you can pick out the exact elements you want.
It all has that classic, organic, vintage vibe that MSX is known for, so it makes for a really nice collection of sampler food.
In addition to the full stereo mix, and the stems, it also comes with REX files for those that want to work with the REX chops right out of the gate.

How does it sound?
It has a really vintage, organic sound to it, which MSX seems to be known for.
I love the quality, the grit, the warmth, and the soulfuness of it.
The drums are amazing as always, and the ep, synth, keys, horn, and guitar elements really fill out the character of it.
It really has the sound of a band recorded on a record or just some classic soul music that we all love to sample.
The variety of style is well done too, from smooth and laid back to jazzy, all while keeping that soul style vibe.
So what’s the bottom line.
If you like working with samples, specifically soulful, vintage style ones, pick this joint up asap.
I give Soulful Stems 4.5 out of 5 subs, it’s a great product with plenty of material to chop up and mangle.
If I had one improvement, it would be to include a 2 track of the music without the drums, in addition to the full composition and the stems, that would make it even more versatile for those of us that want to treat it as a record or song but not have to worry about working around the drums like we do when working with vinyl.
But that’s just a preference and something I think would enhance the product, it’s all about the sound, and the sound is dope.

By the way; it’s the first time (I think) that I have seen you chop the drums in that way, not chop the indvidual drum hits, I mean
I thought it was a cool break so I just chopped a lil part of it 🙂

By the way is there a way to use ableton’s live push controller as a midi controller on the maschine for to play keys instead of using a keyboard if choose ?
Thanks for watching. As for push, it’s not really setup to do scales outside of Ableton, but there are some scripts out there that are supposed to make it work, I just haven’t tried them yet.
