Time for another review… more from motion samples

I’ve long told you I’ve been a customer and fan of motion way before I started this website, well since
they’ve been sending over stuff for me to review, it seems they like what we’re doing over here.

They also like the fact that the community here actually become customers….

Anyway…let’s get into it

Yes, more synths…but can you ever get enough? Really?

Motion Samples presents the all new mega collection of Dirty South synths with over 200 selective loops of the latest sounds and melodies for the southern streets.

Inside you’ll find loads of stacked pads, lead hooks, arpeggios, bleeps, whistles, bells, and stabs created with the newest digital synths for that futuristic sound.

If you’re lookin’ for those edgy synth sounds you better jump on this one quick!

Quick Specs:

What is the production quality and what do they sound like?

soundOf course motion never comes short on the quality of the sounds as well as the production. These are no different.  What did surprise me, as with their Big Boss Sounds, is that even though it says it’s for dirty south music, I find enough variety for all types of urban music from rnb, pop, to even house and downtempo.

Most of the loops I found to be between 2 and 4 bars long, enough to chop up into whatever you want, yet dope enough to loop as is.

The variety again is what I like about this one, as you can hear in the demo, it’s not all the same sounds or styles.

You got fat lead synths, soft leads, some bells, even spaced out synth sounds. Everything from hard to mellow, which is always good.

No clipping, cracking, or any other low budget artifacts are in here, good stuff.

What’s the bottom line?

Bottom line is it’s a good collection of synth sounds with enough variety to keep you busy for a while.  The price is pretty average so it keeps it in reach of most people.

I would have liked to see some more loops, hey, I’m greedy…but overall it’s a solid product.

    Whats up! that was some cool dope synths I actually never thought of buying loops before until now this thought is coming from a comment you made about sampling records instead of paying to get samples cleared just buy royalty free sample its cheaper. thats what I will do and thanks for the hook up on the sounds and what sites to go to get good loops. My wife is going to kill me when I buy Maschine lol

      Thanks bro! yeah man..I used to mess with records, but I knew I wasn’t going to want to pay for clearance…yeah I probably could have got by without it, but I’d rather not. There’s tons out here to use, chop, slice, mangle, and make your own samples with. It’s really the way to go, you usually get professional musicians that make the stuff so it sounds good if you get the right ones.

    That was a dope drumline you threw ovah that ish man..
    Sept i thought u shoulda kept that quick double kick at the end of the 4 bars in it you tried after the hats but still sounded dope man.
    Keep at the reviews man they real helpfull on decision time!
