Diginoiz Fat Key Vibes review…and a free download?

82

Hey whatusp! Got another review for ya!

It’s from the good folks over at diginioz, remember them from the orchestra ave review? Yeah he’s one of the producers from fatloud so you know the quality is good.

Anyway, I’ve been dealing with them for a while, and he’s been working on his new label diginioz for a lil bit.

So today I’m checking out some dope keyboard loops

So what is Fat Key Vibes?

It’s basically a collection of urban keyboard riffs.

No construction kits, just a folder full of piano, ep, clav, and organ loops in various tempos and keys.

They include the key info in the name of the loop for easy mixing and matching with whatever key your project is in.

And the tempos are 100, 90, 95, and 85bpm

No construction kits, no drums, nothing but keys.

Quick Specs

  • content: 101 instrument loops
  • format: wav/acid, refill, rex, apple
  • price: about $20.85 (but free for my readers)

So what do they sound like?

Of course you know the quality is where it needs to be, this is just an ice mixed collection of keybaord loops really.

You got some dirty south, some ambinet/acoustic, west coast, club, rnb, pop, all mixed into the same library.

The loops each sound different, unless they are meant to go together, which is rare, so you get plenty of different styles to choose from.

Not pops, clicks, or any other unprofessional artifacts are in here, so you can dig in and chop, slice, loop, or whatever it is you do.

I think overall it has a really “chilled” vibe to me…..

even though some stuff can get a lil hardcore or hype, for the most part it has a very smooth feel to it.

So what’s the bottom line?

The bottom line is it’s a cool library, doesn’t cost to much, and has enough variety in the 101 loops to keep you busy for a while.

I like the laid back vibe I get from which allows it to swing from rnb to club to chill to pop quite easily.

I also like the fact that they include the key in the name of the file, this always makes it quicker to grab and go.

Overall I give this a 4 out of 5 subs, it’s a very usable library, not something that is major ground breaking, but top quality and very useful to have.

Love that it’s straight loops and not some construction kit type stuff as well.

So go on over and check them out: Diginoiz

Special surprise for SoundsAndGear subscribers!

If you are on my mailing list, then you know you got a special gift, Diginoiz allowed me to pick 1 full product to give to you all, and this is the one I picked. I figured you would like this as opposed to a free construction kit.

It’s just my way of saying thanks for being such dope supporters, and their way of saying thanks because so many SoundsAndGear readers have turned into fatloud and diginoiz customers 🙂

So if you’re not subscribed to my mailing list, you missed out this time.  And no I won’t post the link, but you never know what else will be given out in the future 😉

So thanks to everyone!! And a HUGE thanks to Diginoiz for the hookup!!

  1. Dope!!!!! Man, HUGE thanks for this, indeed, and thanks to Diginoiz as well. This is the type of stuff that I really LOVE, so I’m double-happy! Keep up the great work.

    P.S.: couldn’t DL the wave24 version from the e-mail link… I’ll re-check it later anyway, maybe a temporary thing… Thanks again!

    • @01halo, you can use akai format sounds in it, I had some left over from my 4k. This is also why many of us have been begging for vst/au plugin support in Maschine. I’m like you, I don’t use the internal instruments, maybe a few drums sometimes. That’s one thing I love about BPM is you can expand it with real instrument sounds from Motu and UVI. Once this plugin hosting update is released, it will open up the world of sounds quite a bit.

But yeah, you can load up akai akp sounds in there, or make your own

      • @saintjoe, are there any other way to put instrument sounds it.. and are there any company’s that have sampled instruments that will work and do it read nki files ?

oh yeah one more thing how can i stop machine from loading a pattern when i chose a drum kit ?

            • @01halo,

If you drag a bunch of samples in it will map them according to how you drag them in, if you drag one in it will map that across the keys, but it doesn’t do key detection and setup the multi sample for you automatically if you drag a bunch of samples in out of order.

                • @01halo,lol I feel you but did you do any research at all before you bought it? A lot of the stuff you’re asking is stuff it has never done, which would have been easy to find out quickly with a little bit of online research.

loading nki files, third party instrument support, auto keygroup creation…no where to be found in any way related to Maschine, some of this is stuff we’ve been asking for quite regularly, but still…it’s never been a feature.

when plugin hosting comes at the beginning of next year I have a feeling a lot of people will be very happy about it 😉

                • @saintjoe, the research i did was looking at video’s plus i needed something small to take on the airplane.. not a big mpc 5k… is there other programs like “Samplerobot” that works for intell mac ?

                • @01halo, try extreme samlple converter, or samplit, maybe cdxtract. trust me there’s a lot more to Maschine that what’s not there, I was the same way when I first got it, I noticed a lot of the things I was used to was missing, but the more I used it the more I was good with it. When we can load plugins in it in a few months it will take things to another level. I just wish you would have asked me these questions before spending your money, I could have told you to wait a bit 🙂

                • @saintjoe, Im cool with it.. it’s just that my creativity always go far beyond my hardware or software capabilities.. plus i can’t wait for the update i have projects to work on… and i might not be in America when that update comes out.. or have internet..

                • @01halo, yeah I hear ya, that’s what being creative and making workarounds is all about. Majority of my workflow came from stuff I was trying to do that the software couldn’t. Sounds like you can either load in some akai sample cds, or use the sampler, it’s very easy to build your own sounds from your own samples. I’m talking about keys, bass, synths, etc, not chopping loops and such.

  3. Yo these some wicked sounds! Good looking. I subscribed just in time. I thought I was already subscribed when I first read the article then I read the part where you said “If you’re not subscribed you missed out!” I was like “Damn!” now I gotta buy it. But I subscribed immediately and woke up this morning and saw that you resent them and the links in my email. I’m hyped! Thanks Again! I will definitely support!

    • @D’ante Stanton, yeah lol, if you didn’t get an email it’s safe to say you’re not on the list. May want to sign up again for future purposes. My list gets cleaned periodically from folks that don’t open the emails so maybe that’s what happened. Either way, it’s all good, just another incentive for folks that are on my mailing list 🙂 You never know what I’m going to send out lol.

    • @D’ante Stanton, I feel ya lol, but I also include extra stuff in the emails, like this 🙂 Everything isn’t shared with the general public, some stuff like free sounds, special discounts, etc, are for the email list only.

      it’s all good 🙂

I’m just getting started using the method of chopping samples to make beats. This library will come in handy. Thanks again Saint Joe.
