I’m checking out a guitar construction kit called Fo Yo Soul Guitar
Let’s see what’s up!
So what is Fo Yo Soul Guitar?
It’s a collection of 10 construction kits with a focus on guitar parts.
The style is urban, neo soul, and rnb type melodies and riffs.
Each kit has about 1 to 5 guitar parts as well as some bass and drums to go along with it.
For me, I was mainly interested in the guitars though there were some good bass lines in there as well.

How does it sound?
It definitely has a nice soulful/funky feel to it.
There are plenty guitar parts in here to chop up and the main parts are really long
The styles and variation allow you enough to work with, I wasn’t to impressed by the drum sounds but I don’t need those.
The guitar and bass parts are really useful for nice lead lines or even some chord and lick parts
Overall it’s got a nice sound to it with enough variation among the kits to keep you busy, though they all have a similar “feel” if that makes sense
I like the slower tempo melodies a bit more than the faster ones.
So what’s the bottom line?
As with anything it really depends on what you’re looking for.
At the price point you definitely get some good content to work with
I give Fo Yo Soul Guitar 4 out of 5 subs, some nice riffs with long enough loops that you can use them multiple times
While it may not be a “must have” if you’re into soulful/funky guitar sounds and riffs you will not be disappointed at all.
It’s a nice sized kit that won’t break the bank and will definitely offer you some inspirational loops to build on
