Impact Soundworks Celestia heavenly sound design library review

0

Hey what’s good fam?

Back with another review for you, this is an atmospheric library from Impact Soundworks called “Celstia”

Let’s check it out!

So what is Celestia?

Celestia_Boxart-337x336This is a Kontakt library dedicated to smooth, airy, ambient, ethereal sounds and atmospheres.

If you like smooth evolving textures and hybrid melodic instruments this is something you’ll want to check out.

It’s got a dual layer system and the base instruments/sounds are categories by characteristics like glass, warm, acoustic, noise, vocal, and more.

Anyone into light pads, airy keys, and smooth synths will definitely be excited to hear some of the included presets.

You can either roll your own from scratch or go through the various preset categories to pull up existing sounds.

Quick Specs

How does it sound?

Reel to Reel Tape RecorderMan this is a huge collection of the stuff I like! Ambient pads, smooth textures, airy keys, slick synths, so many different types of sounds but they all retain that soft, “fluffy” or “gentle” quality to them.

I also really like how it seems many of the sounds are based on acoustic/organic instruments and sounds.

Things like piano, guitar, flutes, glass, and vocals are all mixed and matched in a great way that gives you tons of unique but usable instruments.

Sometimes I feel libraries try too hard to be different or “unique” and border on the line of unusable…that’s definitely not the case here.

Some of the guitar and piano instruments are straight beautiful and the pads and textures are very light and evolving.

I also enjoy the fact that everything isn’t a pad or ambiance in the library, even though they all feel like they belong in the same space, you get a really complete collection of complimentary instruments here that work very well together.

So what’s the bottom line?

Look, if you dig ambient sounds and love atmospheres, pads, and things on the the softer side of the audio spectrum like myself, then you owe it to yourself to consider checking this out.

4andhalfsubsOverall I give Celestia 4.5 out of 5 subs, it’s a great sounding library with a clean interface and tons of flexibility that delivers and instantly inspiring collection of atmospheric sounds and textures.

Anyone that’s been around here for any amount of time know’s I’m a sucker for ambient pads and atmospheric instruments, so this is a library I’ve been wanting to show you for a while.

I’m glad I finally got some time to showcase it because I think it’s very well done and will please anyone into ambient, electronica, new age, chillout, or even pop and rnb production.
