Big Fish Audio – Neo Soul Chocolate Therapy review

16

What’s good fam! It’s Friday so you know what that means!

I’ve had a few things going on over the recent weeks including a couple weddings but I had to get in some Big Fish for ya!

Today I’m checking out a small construction loop pack called Neo Soul Chocolate Therapy

let’s check it out

So what is Neo Soul Chocolate Therapy?

The concept behind this library is to give you a quick infusion of neo soul/gospel style loops and riffs.

If you think Jill Scott or Eryka Badu, you’re on the right track.

It’s a small kit with 5 construction sets each with key/tempo information on the folder

Good for those times when you just need a little something new

Quick Specs

  • format: ย WAV, MIDI, FL Studio pack
  • content: 62MB
  • price: $19.95 (on sale for $15.96 at the time of this review)

How does it sound?

These kits are well recorded and definitely capture the smooth sound of Neo Soul

Mostly ep for the keys of course, but there’s a couple acoustic piano and even some synth riffs.

There’s some really useful bass, and I like that you get the separate folder for drum sounds.

The drums are actually pretty good too, deep round kicks and snappy/clean snares

Also some nice hats and percs to top it off

The sounds are well recorded and the riffs have enough there to get multiple chops out of

What’s the bottom line?

Sometimes you just want a little something to mess with without spending a bunch

At 20 bucks, I can’t really find much wrong with this kit.

I would have liked to see the tempo/key information in the loops themselves and not just on the folder but again, not a huge deal.

I give Neo Soul Chocolate Therapy 3.5 out of 5 subs, it’s definitely a quick source of inspiration and smooth melodies.

Go on over and check it out:ย http://www.bigfishaudio.com/detail.html?1;16;1:::::::::Neo%20Soul:%20Chocolate%20Therapy:514497

They are also having a Memorial Day sale with 20% off of all downloads which makes it $15.96

  3. SJ: This seems to be an “Awesome” delivery from BFAudio. Once again you’ve delivered an excellent review. “I’m going to dive into this one immediately”. Another great video from “S&G”.com

  4. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I’m very glad to see such wonderful info being shared freely out there.
