Arturia MiniBrute and MicroBrute sequencing, modulation, and tweaking

9

Hey what’s good fam!

Just messing around in the lab and turned on the camera to capture some tweaking/playing with the Arturia MiniBrute and MicroBrute

I had the arp latched on the MiniBrute, then I made a really basic sequence on the MicroBrute step sequencer and just went through tweaking some sounds to see what interesting stuff I could come up with.

I can’t wait to get my hands on the BeatStep!

Let me know what you think, if you have either one of these or both share your thoughts below.

I love these little guys!

  1. I got the minibrute. I don’t like the sounds but in the mix it is better. I guess I’m more into the roland sound and gonna get a bass station 2 – will see if my Arturia will go or not.
That micro is very small next to the brute 🙂
You might like to use a splitter on those minijacks to get some more patching.
And someone said the minibrute gets most when you use the sliders from all down to just a little up.
    Anyway SJ, have fun 🙂

    • Cool, depends on what you’re looking for of course. I tend to like the Micro a bit better personally, something about it. I also like to keep my faders down on the Mini if you notice, I rarely put them over half way, once you go above about 50% up, that’s when it starts to overload/saturate, below that and you can get some nice smooth analog goodness. I think they are both awesome for the price/features, I really like the mod matrix on the Micro, will definitely have to pick up some splitter/stackable patch cables 🙂
