Boom and Bap: XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2 + Modern Soul And R&B Pack

10

I’m a HUGE fan of acoustic drums. The more realistic the better for me.

I’m not a drummer though, I don’t have a full drum kit, but I still prefer real drum sounds over synth sounds.

I really love the options we have for authentic drum sounds, and Addictive Drums 2 has become my go to drum plugin.

Why do I dig it? The interface is clean and easy to understand, and the drum kits have an amazing sound, yet it doesn’t take up a bunch of hard drive space.

The kits load quickly, and for me that’s super useful as I can quickly browse and try presets.

My introduction to Addictive Drums 2 was with the Modern Soul and R&B pack. If you’re into warm, punchy, organic sounding drums, this pack is definitely one to check out.

It doesn’t matter what type of music you make, if you need drums of this texture and character, this pack for Addictive Drums 2 is a good look.

Oh…and the plugin itself is super flexible, with drag and drop MIDI/WAV, a flexible beats sequencer, mixer, fx, etc. Plus, if you ARE a drummer and happen to own an electronic drum kit, chances are they already have a map waiting for you.

Dope sounds with a dope interface, makes for a dope plugin.

  1. Looks like a fabulous product…I checked out some of the short demos on their website and it looks like a system that is really easy to use and customize to one’s own tastes…I wish your video would have spent a little more time on the customization side and plugging that customization into your DAW…thanks for recommendation as I have been always looking for a simple to use drum program with good acoustic sounds…I only hope they expand their library to include more “world” style percussion instruments. Stay well, man!

    • @Raymond D Ricker, Yeah man, it’s really cool. I tend to just play it personally, a little bit of tweaking of the fx but I really dig the tone of their libraries so I play them without too much extra beyond what I showed. A little linking, some eq/tone control, either way, it’s super fun and easy to use. Highly recommended.
