This will let you use Propellerheads new DAW Record for free with no limits until they release the full version on September 9

Even if you’re not one of the first two, comment anyway, if I get more codes I will hand them out in order of the comments on this post.
So if you want the Record Beta invite code you gotta do two things:

uhhhh, not sure where you got your info from, but you're WRONG. All you need is the code and you can create an account. I don't have, nor have I ever used Reason at all. Record does NOT require Reason to function, but if you have it they work together perfectly. I plan to most likely get Record when it's ready, but I have no intention to get reason…though, depending on the price, it may be smarter to get the duo pack and have both. Then I'll just use Reason like a plugin rewired into Ableton.
But you absolutely do not need to have Reason to use Record, whoever told you that has no idea what they are speaking about

quick question is this soft better than a BR-1600CD: Digital Recorder. trying 2 figure out which one to get got a good on that BR-1600CD: Digital Recorder barley used for 600. trying to get the most for my money

That really depends on what you want to do and if you have the proper computer to run the software. The standalone recorders are great, that’s what I grew up on, but software is really ready to go man. It’s easy to use for the most part but many of the stand alone joint will still be more straight forward. The reason I like the idea of record is because it reminds me of the standalone products.
Only you can really decide what you want to do. Do you plan on getting your music into the computer after you record it? It may make sense to just start and end on the computer.
If you’re going to record on the unit and burn to disc, then the standalone may be fine for you.

thanks for your reply well taken. i planned on doing everything on computer so ill stick with record it. i know this is a dumb question but im new to this. im trying to figure out the difference between a keyboard and a midi controller. i just want a key that can use differnce sounds thru it like the audio p5 or drum kits or syth kits you like you do load up software play with it till you get somthing you like. hopefully under 500

Well, if you want to produce AND record vocals/audio you may want to look into some other programs. I know you can’t use any vsts in record, just their sounds, unless you get reason with it…then you can use the reason instruments. Then you’d be able to load up samples.
A midi controller and midi keyboard can be the same thing but usually a midi controller has more knobs, faders, transport controls, and other things. However, most people, myself included, use the terms interchangeably. Sometimes a midi controller could just mean a set of faders, knobs, and transport controls to give a hands on feel to your daw.
pretty much any midi keyboard you get will let you play sounds, you just need a software that actually has sounds or that can load the sounds you want to play.
