Getting ready for Winter NAMM 2010

I’m ready!

It starts tomorrow and I can’t wait to see what’s new. Anything you expecting?

I’m looking forward to see what Roland has, they always come with something sexy, Yamaha, Korg of course.

I’ll be getting some exclusive in the lab footage with Nova Loops…try to rush up in their studio or something, you know how we do.

I want to see the Beat Kangz hardware joint, the Beat Thang…been waiting on that one for a whole year.

I’ll be checkin out some folks like IK Multimedia…they been droppin pictures and video hints for weeks, look like a new version of Amplitube or something.

Big Fish Audio got a bunch of new releases and you know I gotta stop by and see them….

Also want to see what the Ableton/Serato partnership brings.

Dave Smith Instruments is supposed to have a new product, probably another synth.

Wonder if Access will have anything? Or any other synth companies like Waldorf…..

Of course I gotta check and see what Akai will be showing off.

Digi is supposed to announce something, I’ve heard rumors but we’ll see…also McDSP announcing their au plugins….

Of course there will be tons of other instruments, guitars, drums, and stuff that I can’t even think of…a kid in a candy store…straight up

Lemme know if there’s anything you’re interested in and I’ll try to make a trip by the booth to see whatsup.

Just a quick update. You remember me asking you will beat kangz beat thang change the game? Well the more I research the more I get excited!

I got so excited, I wanted to start a dedicated site to cover the info and progress of it.

Call me a geek, fanboy, whatever…but I like what this company is doing and want to show them support from SoundsAndGear.com

No, I didn’t get asked by them to do it or anything like that, I just do stuff like this for products and companies I really like.

I do the same thing in my business websites, it’s just a cool way to gather info and spread the knowledge.

Will Beat Kangz Beat Thang Change The Game?

thumb_thang The specs on the Beat Thang from BeatKangz look crazy. It comes with more ram standard than many drum samplers can be exapnded to, it comes with 3000 on-board sounds, not just drums.

It can use sd cards, 32 gb each, for a total of 64gb of INSTANT storage, that you don’t have to wait to load.

Separate track lengths, yes, each track can have it’s own length. Onboard sampling, 1gb of sound rom with 4o0mb left open for those of us that don’t have sc cards on hand, we can still get it going.

The sequencer resolution is the same as my mpc 4000, I could go on.
