Hey what’s good fam?
Back with another review for you, this time it’s from a company that’s new to me.
The company is called Industry Kits and the product is a Virus patch library made for Kontakt
Let’s check it
So what is the SSO Virus Ti2 patch library?
Basically, Superstar O went into his Virus Ti2 and programmed up a bunch of patches and sounds in his signature style.
Then he sampled those patches and turned them into instruments for Kontakt for those that don’t have access to an actual Virus or that just want his style of sounds.
He even gave the library a basic custom interface so it doesn’t look like a plain Kontakt patch.
Maybe you know who he is as a producer, or maybe you don’t….
but what I am here for is to show you the sounds!
- content: 85 patches
- format: Kontakt 5
- price: $34.99 ($29.99 on sale)

So how does it sound?
Having owned a couple Virus synths myself, I knew the type of sound character I was looking for.
The good news is, it’s definitely there, more present in some sounds than others, but if you want “that sound” then you can definitely get a taste here.
I found the strong point to be some of the leads, pads, and a few of the plucks, however I found the synth brass to be a little “light” for my tastes.
However, depending on the style of music and type of sounds you use, these may be right up your alley! I prefer real acoustic brass a bit more personally.
There were even a few deep basses and some FX in the library as well. Overall the programming was pretty good, no crazy clicks/pops, or nasty release noises.
The recording quality of the samples seemed to be well done.
So what’s the bottom line?
I always find it cool when someone tries to bring sounds to the masses that many may not otherwise get a chance to use.
He definitely captured the Virus sound and for those that are looking for it, I say it’s something to checkout.
I give the Superstar O Virus Ti2 library 4 out of 5 subs, it’s a straight forward library when many useful sounds and it’s easy on the resources.
A plus about something like this is, it will not take up as much cpu as a high end plugin, and the patches are light enough that RAM shouldn’t be an issue even when using multiple patches.
Overall it’s a very usable library for the price and is an affordable option for getting a new collection of synths sounds in your setup.
Go on over and check it out, or even some of their other kits and presets: http://industrykits.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=62&product_id=83
