Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2 Synth Engine – The Oscillator Section

9

Hey what’s good fam!

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about Omnisphere 2 ever since it was released so I wanted to share my opinion on it. Many seem to think Omnisphere is not a synth, that it’s a rompler….or strictly sample-based, but they couldn’t be more wrong.

This thing is definitely a synth, a very powerful one at that, and rather than do a traditional review, I figured I’d do some videos showing different features I like or explaining some of what it can do. I mean let’s face it, I’ve been an advocate of Omnisphere for years, that’s not going to change, so a review would just be me telling you to go get it! What I want to do is show you why, as well as answer some questions you may have about it.

It’s such a deep instrument that one video review wouldn’t cover it all, unless it was a few hours long, so instead I’m breaking it up into various videos to cover certain areas of it.

In this video I want to show you how powerful the oscillator section is. No fx, no modulation, just what you can do strictly with a single oscillator section.

Go on over a check it out for yourself: https://www.spectrasonics.net/products/omnisphere/index.php

As usual, if you have questions or comment leave them below, if there’s something specific you want to see covered on Omnisphere 2 let me know that as well!

    • They will all show up in your Maschine plugin list if you setup the preferences properly to point to your plugin folders. The template pack just imports all the Omni presets into the browser and gives you direct control over them, but you’d still need to make sure you have Omni installed and setup to be used in Maschine properly.
