Hey what’s good fam? Hope all is well, got a new review for you from a new company I came in contact with.
The product is called Hybrid Elements: Impact, and it’s a sound design, effect type library for Kontakt
Let’s check it out?
So what is Hybrid Elements: Impact?
It’s a collection of hits, sweeps, impacts, effects, and even some percussion elements.
They are broken down into elements like water, poison, wind, fire, air, etc.
Of course the bottom line is, this is a sound design type of library for Kontakt.
You do need the full version though, this isn’t a “Powered by Kontakt” library.
- content: 38 patches, over 600 unique 24bit samples
- format: Kontakt 5
- price: $91

How does it sound?
Though you don’t get much control over the sounds from the interface, the sounds themselves are really high quality.
There’s a lot of layers and textures going on in the hits that give them a really detailed and high end sound.
Mainly made up of hits and sweeps, the library also features some pretty useful percussion hits.
While there isn’t much to be had in terms of immediate sound manipulation, I think users will still enjoy the product for the sound quality itself.
That’s really what stands out to me though I would have loved to have a bit more control.
So what’s the bottom line?
This is a great sounding library that would be useful for anyone looking to add some extra sound design elements to their toolbox.
I give Hybrid Elements: Impact 4 out of 5 subs, the sound quality is really great and the textures provide for some very useful impacts and effects.
I would like to see them go deeper into the scripting side of things as there are some really basic controls they could add to the interface that would make it way more powerful.
That said, they also have a free library on their page for you to checkout so that always gets extra points from me
Overall it’s a good library, sounds great, and is immediately useful, even without the ability to mangle and repurpose the sounds directly in the interface.
Head on over and check it out, they also have a smaller version if you don’t feel like paying for the big boy: http://www.mastersampling.com/index.php?id_product=9&controller=product
