Links and Resources

Below you can find some of my favorite sound providers, instrument companies, tools, and other useful resources

Suggested Video Tools:

  • Vegas Pro Software – I currently edit my videos with Vegas Pro and have been using Vegas software in some form for close to 10 years now. I’ve tried other platforms but always come back to Vegas for it’s simplicity and power.
  • Techsmith Camtasia – I’ve used Camtasia even longer than Vegas, in my opinion this is the best software for recording your screen. I use it for all of my tutorial and training work.
  • Panasonic Lumix G7 Mirrorless Camera – I upgraded to this camera in 2015 and instantly fell in love. It’s great for both photos and video. I love the 4k video and size of the camera.
  • Rode Headset Mic – I generally use this mic for all videos  whether I’m talking in front of the camera or doing a screen tutorial.  I’m a huge fan of Rode and have many of their mics, this one gets used every day.
  • Rode Video Micro – I use this as an on camera mic, mainly when I’m doing group shots, vlogs, and non-tutorial or demo work. No battery required, small,  just plug and go.
