Just a quick update. You remember me asking you will beat kangz beat thang change the game? Well the more I research the more I get excited!
I got so excited, I wanted to start a dedicated site to cover the info and progress of it.
Call me a geek, fanboy, whatever…but I like what this company is doing and want to show them support from SoundsAndGear.com
No, I didn’t get asked by them to do it or anything like that, I just do stuff like this for products and companies I really like.
I do the same thing in my business websites, it’s just a cool way to gather info and spread the knowledge.
Go check it out here: Beat Kangz Beat Thang and let me know what you think.
I’ll keep it updated with all the latest news about the product line.
leave your comments here, or there, it’s all good!

A whole fan site dedicated to Beat Thang?! This think must be hot. Have you played with it yet?

Hahaha I know man! Nah, I haven't touched it yet, but just watching the videos and peeping the specs I had to do a site. Of course I will show the nitty gritty when I do get my hands on it.
The virtual should be in my mailbox today or tomorrow.

Ya it looks cool. I'm thinking about just going with the idrum software for windows. $59 is more in my price range. I want to be able to bang a beat with my qwerty keyboard & load my own samples. idrum seems to be the cheapest way, but I really like the beat kangs beat thang too and their sounds impressed me on the street boxx back in the day. I might get the idrum now and the beat thang later.

I went on & got the idrum software. It's pretty cool, but it won't maximize the window so it always stays real small on my screen, argh. Another thing that irritates me is that it has no metronome. Oh well enough spending money for me hopefully for a while. Enjoy the Beat Thang vst, and I'll be enjoying my poor man's idrum vst. lol.

Finally Beat Thang 2.0 is available for download but currently it only has AU support not VST. Kangz say they should put that up by next week.
Per CoolRev “2.0 is virtually the same as 1.2.1, except that it has AU support for Live, Logic and garage band. Also, a few bug fixes. So, basically, it will work as a plugin’ now and is more stable on Windows 7.
We will also post a 2.0.0 VST beta version by next week for the people who want to plug into Cubase, Live, FL and other VST DAWS.”
I can wait another week before I start trying to use Beat Thang again.
