Saint Joe….is there any mac equivalent of Extreme Sample Converter that can do the same job, extracting info from a vst plugin?

@misterharding, maybe checkout samplit or sample robot, cdxtract, etc. I’m not exactly sure about any on the Mac.

…or an AU equivalent extracting/converter type program…?

love your videos but i have one question how do you have your maschine hooked up to your computer, straight usb to the computer or threw soundcard. Im really thinking about getting one seriously,do the maschine have a built in sound card.

@anthony benton, no maschine doesn’t have a soundcard, it is a midi controller that works with it’s own software, you use whatever soundcard you have already.

@saintjoe, I started getting crashlog’s and no response from maschine. after some mis happ’s with the low latency sound like the 909/ 808 deep bass kick’s. So i called tech support , they walked me through my set up again and it was working fine (for like ten min’s.) the a blue screen appeared and window’s has been shut down to prevent damage to comp. so I guess it crashed. flashfoward…. called tech support they said it was my soundcard, and for starter’s download asio 4all driver . 1.Have u ever heard of this situation? 2. I installed it on vista on my desktop, it works fine (still minor problem’s with sound quality 3. i’, an amaeture at this new wonderful program , and all of any other music on the pc. could it be the soundcard on my laptop?

@beatz4chng, hey there. I have never heard of this issue but I definitely suggest using asio4all if you only have an internal soundcard. I really suggest buying a higher quality sound device, it will give you better performance and lower latency. Checkout usb devices from saffire, NI, m-audio, etc. I use a saffire pro 24 myself, but I also have the NI devices, they work well too.

Joe , is there a way when you deleted a tag by mistake to get it back ?

and how to do it quickly, or it works through a DAW
Thanks

@LAWrin, Use the external routing and send specific outputs to another track/audio output in your daw.

@LAWrin, There is no way to “prelisten” on Maschine, You could route a group to a separate output on your soundcard and use that for auditioning but there is nothing built in to audition/preview your sounds in that way. This is down to the routing in your audio interface and you can set Maschine to route specific outputs to your headphones if you wish.

Saintjoe. I figured out a long way to go about getting sounds from BTV to maschine. First choose a kit or pattern you like, name it and save it, then create a new pattern, pick your user kit or instrument. Increase you bars to like 20, then hit record, play each individual sound, when finished, hit stop, name and save the pattern to desktop or BTV userpath folder, this creates a wav file. Pull up maschine and drag your sample in to sound 1. Once you see your wav file, manually edit each wav and name them. Then no worries, pull up your folder while in machine from C drive and Bamm there it is.

@KRK, lol yeah that’s a long manual way to do it, not worth all that to me. I’d just load it as a plugin in maschine and sample it that way if I really wanted the sounds…but already got the drums and such I wanted.

Hi SaintJoe,
In one of your Maschine Videos where you are making some beats, you make a point of saying that you don’t have the software loaded yet.(At least at the time of the video). Question: Does the Maschine have its own internal sounds as well as sound the come with the computer software? I am recieving my Maschine in two days. I can’t wait.
Thanks in advance.
Robert

@Robert, sup fam. I think you may have misunderstood something on one of the vids. Maschine is software with a hardware controller, without the software, you don’t have any sounds, sampling, or sequencing, just a midi controller. You may be referring to one of my early videos, where I was using Maschine with my screen turned off, just to show how you can work with the controller without looking at the screen. Either way, congrats man, lemme know if you have any questions on maschine!
