Loops de la creme World Sounds Deluxe Set review

13

Yo what’s good fam! Back with another review for ya!

One of the questions I get quite often is where to find a good percussion/world percusion library that doesn’t cost hundreds of dollars.

Many folks just want a really good sounding library of percussion samples and not necessarily a full out percussion suite.

Well, if that’s something you’re looking for…then check this out!

It’s called World Sounds Deluxe Set and it’s from loops de la creme….you’re probably like “who?” but that’s exactly why I’m doing this review!

let’s check it out!

What is World Sounds Deluxe Set?

It is a multi sample collection of world and general percussion sounds for Kontakt.

It features 30 different percussion instruments and it’s also got some nature sounds in there!

The focus is on sample quality and ease of use.

It’s pretty much a really straight forward library for anyone that needs a solid collection of percussion samples at a competitive price point.

Quick Specs

  • content: 211MB, 35 patches
  • format: Kontakt (full version required, not a “player” instrument)
  • price: 24 Euro (about $31)

How does it sound?

This is a really simple library, main thing is that it sounds good.

All the instruments have various velocity layers so this allows you to get some pretty realistic sounds quickly.

It’s not a huge library so it loads very fast, but the quality of the samples is really nice.

You can also control/adjust the reverb type and amount from the front panel

Overall it has a really natural sound that can fit well in all types of music

What’s the bottom line?

I love finding stuff like this, these are the types of companies and products that go under the radar…so it’s always a joy to show them off.

A general percussion library that’s affordable is something I get asked about quite often…since most of the dedicated libraries for these types of sounds tend to be at the higher end of the scale price wise, it was great to come across this one.

I give World Sounds Deluxe Set 4 out of 5 subs, it’s a really good sounding perc library that won’t take ages to load.

It covers most of the general/world percussion needs that most would want without requiring a large investment.

I definitely say go check it out, and also download some of the free samples he has over there: http://loopsdelacreme.bandcamp.com/

  1. Thanks you for presenting such unknown but great (and cheap) library like this !!
(Just for information,(I don’t know if I have the right to mention it but then remove it) there is another cheap product at : http://www.soundbao.com
There are just only 4 instruments (very few in comparison with “World de la creme loops” but they seem to be of very high quality with a lot of samples per sound).

However, it is a pity that Darbuka is rarely included in most of world percussion libraries !
