iStandard Producers The Loop Lounge: Lean Loops and Breaks review

Yo what’s good fam!

Back with another review, this time it’s a new sample library from iStandard Producers.

The library was created by sound designer JayKeyz and it’s called Lean Loops and Breaks.

Let’s check it out!

Lean Loops and Breaks CoverSo what is The Loop Lounge: Lean Loops and Breaks?

It’s basically a collection of samples in a variety of different styles and tempos.

You get organic stuff, orchestral, jazzy, trap, single instrument riffs, drum breaks, and multi track samples.

Think of it as a grab bag of sample content ready to be sliced, diced, chopped, looped, and otherwise mangled as you see fit.

It doesn’t really follow one style, which makes it useful in a lot of different situations.

Quick Specs:

How does it sound?

Reel to Reel Tape RecorderAs I said earlier, there’s is a huge variety in terms of style and content.

I definitely found some of the more melodic keys, emotional orchestral stuff, or just plain jazzy samples very useful.

For my tastes I’m not much into the trap or club style riffs and samples, however those that are could find them usable indeed.

I also like that there were some different drum loops and breaks thrown in the mix as well, ready to chop up or loop.

Also, the drum styles range from live, vinyl and breaks, to processed trap, club, and electronic styles.

So what’s the bottom line?

If you’re looking for a new collection of samples to dig through with no specific style they’re geared towards then definitely check this out.

It can give you a nice variety within the kit itself and allow you to mess with styles you may not otherwise go for. The style/playing is creative and there are definitely some really nice loops and riffs in there.

4subsI give Lean Loops and Breaks 4 out of 5 subs, it’s a solid library with a variety of styles ready to be chopped, used and abused.

This library comes out Thursday, April 17th, so make sure you bookmark their page if you’re interested and check back in a couple of days.
