Interview: Greg Savage – Freelance TV Composer & Sound Designer

13

gsavageI’ve known Greg for many years, and I’ve wanted to do an interview with him for a while. I figured the best place to do this would be right here on this site as his knowledge and experience is very broad and diverse.

He’s got his hands in sound design, tv and game composition, and midi orchestration.

There’s alsoย his freelance recording and other audio wizardry, bottom line, there’s a lot of knowledge between those ears and this is my first attempt to extract some of it on camera.

I’m sure we’ll do more, as we have lots of topics to discuss.

Make sure to follow him on twitter @diymusicbiz and checkout his website at diymusicbiz.com

  1. Great interview, Joe! Greg sounds like a cool dude, and he had a lot of interesting things to say about sound design and scoring. Very cool stuff. Time to upgrade that old laptop though, Greg lol

  2. Hey Joe!! Brand new to your site, and like your content a lot…however, I have a specific question…

    – What DESK is that !? Honestly it looks so perfect for … EVERYTHING ! hehehe

And by the way, a “studio” tour video would be awesome : your “DEN” looks like it has lots of cool stuff on! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. I bought an az-studio workstation last month and I like it a lot. I didn’t need a custom configuration, so I bought one of their basic models, and I’m very pleased with it. Highly recommended.
