Maschine Packs: Native Instruments Halcyon Sky Review

44

NIHalcyonSkyOK, so here’s another NI expansion for Maschine, specifically for Maschine 2.0, and it’s aimed at ambient, left-feild, downtempo-electro goodness

Think ambient electronica with some lofi grit sprinkled on top

If you like airy, gritty, ambient vibes, then you definitely will want to checkout this new expansion.

Comes with a bunch of kits, full of drums, chords, riffs, and percussion. They also included presets for the new drum synths, presets for Prism, Massive, as well as presets for the new plate reverb in Maschine 2.0

Don’t let the size fool you, there’s a ton of content in here….and it’s all covered with a hazy layer of chill.

  1. Yeah I had to go look at the Maschine Studion on NI.com because I though something looked different about yours. Nice. Where you get you accessories for that?

  9. First just want to say thank you for all the reviews and tutorials you put out, I just bought my Maschine MK2 last month, my main instrument is the guitar so I’m pretty new to all of this. But after seeing some of the possibilities for live and studio applications I decided to break out into new territory. I’ve bought a few of the expansion packs and this one is NICE. Once again, I appreciate your work.
