Hey whatsup! Glad to be back!! Figured I’d start off with a review of a new synth from Tone2, one of my favorite synth makers. I really enjoyed their Firebird+ synth, and Gladiator 2 was dope as well, but neither of them were 64 bit, so I wasn’t able to use them as much once [...]

Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know that Native Instruments has been and a role with their Kontakt and Kore Player instruments. Now if you’re not into the weird, esoteric sounds of film, media, and soundtrack composition you may not know who Heavyocity is. Let’s just say, a groups of accomplished sound designer, soundtrack [...]

Today I’m checking out a new Kore pack from NI called Massive Threat. It’s based on the Kore 2/Kore player concept and uses the MASSIVE engine. This instrument collection was created in the full version of MASSIVE and all sounds can be used directly in MASSIVE. But you don’t need MASSIVE to use these sounds, [...]

Today I want to checkout Urban Arsenal 2 from Native Instruments, one of their Kore soundpacks they sent over for review. You may wonder why I chose to go with part 2 first instead of part 1…well I figured part 2 was the newest and probably improved on a lot of things they received feedback [...]

Time to review another plugin, yet ANOTHER virtual version of an analog classic. Jim Heintz over at Way Out Ware did some secret ninja circuit modeling/creation to come up with the ONLY ARP 2600 plugin to be endorsed by Alan R Pearlman… Yes, he created the actual ARP 2600 synthesizer Must be some plugin right? I know it’s weird, but….primeloops, a sample loop provider, has created a nice collection of fat analog synth samples. Not loops, multisamples that you can load up in your favorite sampler to create your own crazy synth lines and riffs. They sent these over for review before the holiday…but uhhh, yeah lol, the holiday got [...]
