Big Fish Audio Orchestral Hip Hop Melodies Vol 1

47

Hey what’s good fam! It’s another Friday so time for some Big Fish

Today I’m checking out some orchestral loops and samples from Pakotec Samples

Let’s just get into it!

So what is Orchestral Hip Hop Melodies Vol 1?

orchestralhiphopmelodiesThe concept behind these loops is to provide instant inspiration for urban music with an orchestral element.

Unlike construction loop sets, these loops are stereo 2 track samples, so it’s just like taking a sample from a record or some other media.

The sounds are orchestral but the style is definitely urban in nature.

You get them split up by key and all are labled with their tempo directly in the sound file for quick finding.

Quick Specs

How does it sound?

Reel to Reel Tape RecorderI really dig the quality and style of these loops.

And I like the fact that they are presented as “samples” and not so much as a construction loop set.

Grabbing one of these samples and chopping out pieces to use really works well for how I like to work with samples and loops.

The samples themselves are long with lots of variety and they are definitely well recorded.

There’s plenty of content here to chop up, or straight loop if that’s what you prefer.

Personally I dig chopping them up and can see plenty of tracks being sparked from these loops.

So what’s the bottom line?

As someone who likes to work with samples off and on, I really dig the content and the format of this library.

I get a lot of questions about libraries like this and I personally would like to see more of these instead of always dealing with construction loops.

4andhalfsubsI give this library 4.5 out of 5 subs, it’s well played with plenty of inspiration to keep you busy for a long time.

If you like to work with samples, or if you’re just getting into royalty free sampling and are used to digging through vinyl and classic music, definitely give this library a try.

Go on over and check their demos out or grab your own copy http://www.bigfishaudio.com/detail.html?515320

  3. They are royalty free, you can use them to make your own music you just can’t use them to make your own sample libraries to sell the sounds.

  4. Great, as usual …. Let me ask this, how long (average-ish) are each wav? 75 samples doesn’t sound like a lot, but if there’s a lot going on in each one, that’s a diff story

  5. SJ: Another “Great Review!!”…I purchased this immediately following your presentation. The sounds in this kit is a 5.0 rating. If only the kit was larger… The price is nice too. I agree with your 4.5/5.0.
