Akai Goes Crazy Releases 4 Products At Summer NAMM

okay, so…basically, Akai just dropped a whole lotta goodness.

MPK61_Ortho_media

My favorite is the new akai mpk61! It’s a 61 key controller with 16 pads not 12, and

all the controllers of their other controllers.

Great job Akai….thank you for listening to your customers!

Note repeat, arpeggiator, and mpc style quantize on board

with all the faders and knobs you like.

Next, they tropped the LPD8 a mini laptop pad controller…good stuff, but my second favorite after the mpk61 is

akai lpd8

the LPK25!!!

It’s a mini keyboard…with REAL mini keys, not laptop keys trying to be piano keys.

And finally…they released their own freakin studio monitors the akai rpm8s

“RPM8 reference production studio monitors are specifically designed for use with

MPC music production workstations and production controllers. RPM8 studio monitors areRPM8_media

two-way, active, bi-amplified, nearfield loudspeakers made for producers, recording

engineers, remix artists, DJs and other musicians.”

uhhh…thank you! I wonder how good they sound, or do they just overhype your sound to produce the “low end” they boast?

Either way, it’s looking good, I can’t wait to get my hands on some of their new gear to do a review on here.

see ya!
